Africa Aerospace & Defence 2018

19-23 September 2018, City of Tshwane, South Africa

AAD is Africa’s only aerospace and defense expo that combines both a trade exhibition and an air show. Held biennially in the City of Tshwane, Pretorial – South Africa’s administrative capital, It comprises of a 3-day trade exhibition showcasing air, sea and land defense technologies and is followed by a 2-day air show.

The AAD Expo is one of South Africa’s largest contributors to the country’s GDP in show years, and is regarded as a national asset. AAD brings together the largest gathering of industry players in aerospace and defence (manufacturers and innovators) and buyers (high-level international delegations, defense chiefs of armies and senior procurement officers) in Africa.

Previous editions of Africa Aerospace & Defense saw the debut of Nigerian defense companies such as Proforce and which showcased the Nigerian-made Ara MRAP optimized for the African environment. Robot enthusiast worldwide are also expecting to see the first African indigenous full-scale robot Proof-of-Concept called Parabot made by South African-based defense company Paramount, and other South African made arms.
