The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting & Exposition, one of the world’s most significant land power exhibitions, concluded in Washington D.C. after a busy three days (13-15 October). The event brought together global defence leaders, industry experts, and military delegations to showcase the latest technological advancements and discuss future operational needs.

Among the industry leaders present was Eray Yükseloğlu, CEO of Raff Military Textile, who attended the exhibition with his senior team. The company also shared highlights from the event on their LinkedIn page.

Beyond the Booth: A Focus on R&D

While AUSA is a key platform for showcasing hardware, the Raff Military Textile delegation focused its mission on a high-level review of the sector’s research and development (R&D) trajectory. Mr. Yükseloğlu and his team were seen closely monitoring advancements in soldier systems, innovative materials, and next-generation personal equipment.

This strategic focus on R&D highlights the firm’s sharp understanding of modern military procurement. As operational requirements on the battlefield evolve, the demand for lighter, more durable, and technologically-integrated uniforms and equipment has become paramount. By engaging directly with R&D leaders at AUSA, Raff Military Textile is actively ensuring its manufacturing base keeps pace with the most advanced global standards. Strengthening Strategic Partnerships

For the Raff Textile team, the Washington event was also a key forum for high-level strategic dialogue. The mission was seen as twofold, to share the company’s advanced products and solutions with international visitors, and to actively strengthen global partnerships through a full schedule of B2B meetings. The presence at AUSA was also viewed as a key opportunity to promote their country’s rich expertise in the technical clothing sector on an international scale.

From Washington to Cairo

Following a successful U.S. engagement, the company is already preparing for its next major deployment. The team’s next stop is confirmed as the EDEX (Egypt Defence Expo) in Cairo, scheduled for 1-4 December. This move is understood to be part of the firm’s forward-looking strategy, where work and high-level meetings will continue, aiming to secure new opportunities.
