Algeria turns to China for enhanced electronic warfare capability

China has reinforced the Algerian military’s electronic warfare (EW) capability with the supply of a CEW-03A Mobile 6×6 truck EW system.

The CEW-03A EW module are a type of equipment used to take control of the magnetic spectrum (Cyber ​​Domain) to carry out Radio Jammer, Jammer Radar, spy on radio frequencies and also have IRCM capabilities against infrared guided missiles.

CEW-03A truck-mounted EW system is an integrated electronic warfare system manufactured by Chinese companies ELINC and CEIC.

CEW-03A EW offers the detection of enemy radar devices for a distance of 600 km.

It can also detect and classification enemy movements in these distances, including the protection of radars and anti-aircraft systems from anti-radiation missiles by “covering” radar frequencies, preventing communication via a Distance of 300 km, jamming frequencies from 0.5 to 40 GHz and preventing the use of identification systems by enemies in the air, at sea and on land Piloted UAVs, removing their data connection to the ground, tracking AEW aircraft at a distance of 500 km, burning and damaging some radios with a directional Transmission power of 500 kW.

CEW-03A EW can also prohibit the use of GNSS satellite positioning systems (GPS, Baidu, Galileo, Glonass) by the enemy (air, sea, land) over a distance of 300 km

The EW system will complement other Russian equipment such as the Krashuka-4 and the Avtobaza.
