Photographs circulating on social media purportedly showing an EE-11 Urutu Armored Presonnel Carrier (APC) in Misrata, Libya fitted with a 2K12 Kub (NATO reporting name SA-6 “Gainful”) in transit.

Experts believe that the local modification is being used in a direct firing role. The war in Libya also known as The Second Libyan Civil War is an ongoing conflict among rival factions seeking control of the territory and oil of Libya has seen several ingeniously modified weapon systems finding use on the battlefield.
