Raff Military Textile, an internationally recognised powerhouse in the military textile and defence logistics sector, has unveiled its comprehensive roadmap for expansion into the South American market. Building on its dominance in the African and Middle Eastern regions, the company is now channeling its resources to establish a permanent foothold in Latin America. This strategic move is designed to widen its partnership network and introduce Turkish textile engineering to the continent’s defence forces.
A Strategic Corridor: The Türkiye-Chile Connection
The cornerstone of this new expansion phase is the strengthening of commercial ties between Türkiye and South American nations. Raff Military Textile aims to leverage the robust diplomatic relations and, specifically, the Free Trade Agreement existing between Türkiye and Chile.
By capitalising on these favourable economic conditions, the brand intends to offer high-quality military solutions at competitive advantages that other international suppliers may not possess. The company views the South American market not just as a destination for exports, but as a region ripe for long-term value creation and mutual technical cooperation.

Building on a Solid Foundation
While the company is preparing for major upcoming engagements in the region, executives are keen to clarify that this is not their first venture into Latin America. The brand has been meticulously analysing the market dynamics for years.
Eray Yükseloğlu, CEO of Raff Military Textile, provided insight into the company’s calculated approach. He emphasised that their presence in the region is the result of a long-standing ambition rather than a sudden decision:
“Our expansion into South America is a natural continuation of the strong ties we established in Colombia in 2023. These early meetings allowed us to understand the specific needs of local defence forces. We have prepared carefully for this step, and we are now ready to make a long-term commitment to the region.”

Future Outlook: A Permanent Commitment to the Region
The participation in the FIDAE 2026 exhibition in Santiago is simply the launchpad for a much broader vision. Raff Military Textile does not view South America as a temporary market but as a key pillar of its global operations. The primary objective is to replicate the trust, operational success, and supply chain reliability currently enjoyed by governments in Africa and the Middle East within the Latin American defence infrastructure.
This expansion is about solving complex logistical challenges for the region. By establishing a direct and consistent presence, Raff Military Textile aims to eliminate the distance barrier between Türkiye and South America. The company is committed to becoming a fixed component of the South American defence landscape, ensuring that local security forces have continuous access to high-standard resources and technical cooperation for decades to come.
