Asisguard Songar

SONGAR is a remotely-operated armed drone system, the first of its kind developed indigenously for the Turkish Armed Forces’ inventory, and was integrated into an armoured 4×4 vehicle for the first time. Thus, SONGAR integrated land vehicles gained significant capabilities to detect and eliminate hostile targets in advance during internal security operations or cross-border operations.

Thanks to its stabilized shooting accuracy, SONGAR has taken its place as one of the important national capabilities of asymmetric warfare. Having real-time video transmission capability, SONGAR can simultaneously perform various critical tasks such as target detection, area surveillance, threat neutralization, and post-mission analysis with a single or multiple drone system.

  • Ground Control Station (GCS)
  • Autonomous and manual flight modes

DEFENSE
Diversion and Distraction: SONGAR can create diversions or distractions to draw enemy attention away from the movement of friendly forces.
Surveillance and Intelligence: Before launching an ambush, SONGAR can be used for reconnaissance and surveillance, providing real-time intelligence on enemy movements, positions, and activities.
Flexibility and Rapid Response: SONGAR offers flexibility in terms of deployment and can be rapidly redeployed to different locations as needed.

OUTCOME
The easily transportable and deployable SONGAR Armed Drone System is a force multiplier as a weapon system that provides team-level close air support. Its detachable magazine allows the operator to quickly reload the weapon for mission continuity.
