The HYBRA APCO3810 Hybrid Handheld Terminal is a hybrid device developed for the LTE broadband data needs of Mission Critical service users as well as Narrow Band DMR/APCO systems.

In an era where public safety and defense operations depend on seamless, secure, and instant connectivity, handheld radios remain the backbone of mission critical communications. Meeting these demands requires devices that are interoperable and capable of adapting to evolving technologies. ASELSAN’s ASTELA and HYBRA radio families embody this vision by bringing together trusted radio technology with advanced hybrid features to empower users in the most challenging environments.

ASTELA 3711 & 3715: Reliability in VHF and UHF Bands

ASTELA 3711 (VHF) and ASTELA 3715 (UHF) are designed for professionals who need secure, always-on voice communication above all else. They are lightweight, robust and purpose-built for instant group coordination in the field. With push-to-talk for immediate communication, long battery life, and clear audio, ASTELA ensure that a message is heard at the first time.

Designed to support secure group communication, ASTELA radios provide instant push-to-talk functionality, enabling teams to reach everyone without delay. With hard & soft encryption options ensuring that sensitive information stays protected, ASTELA offers not only communication, but also confidentiality. Its slim and ergonomic design makes ASTELA easy to carry and operate, while its rugged construction, IP67 certification and military-standard durability guarantee performance even in extreme temperatures, heavy rain or dust conditions.

Beyond reliability, ASTELA stands out with its long battery life and superior audio quality which allow teams to focus on their mission rather than on technical limitations. Whether operating in VHF or UHF bands, ASTELA adapts to diverse mission environments and ensures that voice communication remains uninterrupted.

HYBRA 3811 & 3815: Bridging Radio and Smart Technology

HYBRA 3811 (VHF+LTE) and HYBRA 3815 (UHF+LTE) take communication a step further by merging classic radio reliability with the intelligence of an Android smartphone. With its modern interface and dual SIM capability, HYBRA provides users the flexibility to operate both on private LTE networks and commercial carriers. Alongside secure narrowband radio services, HYBRA offers broadband applications in the same handheld unit. This hybrid structure makes it a powerful tool for teams that need to move fast, share data and maintain real-time awareness in complex missions.

With HYBRA, users can do more than just talk. They can send and receive messages, share their location, navigate using integrated maps and even conduct video calls or live video transmission. This fusion of broadband and narrowband services creates asingle device that enhances teamwork and situational awareness. In critical operations where every second matters, the ability to transmit real-time video or data alongside voice communication can make the difference.

A Unified Approach to Mission Success

Together, ASTELA and HYBRA radios provide a full spectrum of communication options from secure and protocol-based narrowband voice to data-rich broadband services. This unified / hybrid approach empowers operators to communicate, coordinate and act decisively whether in public safety, defense, disaster response or critical infrastructure protection.

By fusing reliability, interoperability and digital innovation, ASELSAN continues to redefine the role of handheld radios in mission critical operations by ensuring the importance of constant communication for mission success. Being not only a manufacturer of devices from user terminals to base stations but also a turnkey system designer and integrator company, ASELSAN always seeks for offering a whole integrated wide area mission critical communication infrastructure. Including all the required components such as handheld radios, vehicular radios, desktop radios, repeaters, together with different type of switching solutions, various console/dispatch applications and a wide variety of software options such as key generation center software, where an integrated wide area mission critical communication infrastructure will be commonly in service for any desired governmental institution.
