This year’s edition of ShieldAfrica international exhibition security and defence will no longer be taking place.
ShieldAfrica 2023 was supposed to hold on 06 – 08 June 2023 in. abidjan, but despite the best effort of organiser Commissariat Général des Expositions et Salons (COGES), this year’s edition of the biennial ShieldAfrica defence and security show, will not take place at all.
“COGES Africa, organiser of ShieldAfrica, the international exhibition dedicated to Security & Defence professionals on the African continent, deeply regrets to announce the cancellation of its 2023 edition.” The event management said in a press statement late last month.
“The unavailability of the École de Police of Abidjan venue, the traditional host site for ShieldAfrica, led COGES Africa to request its location in the brand new Exhibition Center in the capital. However, six months before the scheduled deadline (June 2023), the absence of a manager and operator of the site does not guarantee the quality of the services expected by all the stakeholders.”
Apparently, the organisers were not able to commit to the deadline for the ShielAfrica 2023.
