Algerian Army Mil Mi-24 Hind assault helicopter crashed, two injured


An Algerian militaryMil mI-24 Hind assault helicopter crashed in southeast Algeria on Thursday morning. According to reports by Algerian media, the Russian-made Mil-Mi 14 type military helicopter crashed with two crew members on board. The helicopter crashed near Guemar Airport in an agriculture zone a few minutes after taking off.

Alg24 reported that the crew members were injured, but not critically.

In recent years, several Algerian military airplanes has crashed, killing several crew members. For instance, In February, a military helicopter crash in eastern Algeria claimed the lives of two soldiers.

Also, in April 2018, Algeria mourned the death of more than 250 passengers, including members of the Polisario Front, after a military airplane crashed shortly after take-off from the Boufarik military airport.
